Like people, companies too, are genetically pre-programmed and obey what their DNA tells them. As a result, the culture that a company starts with is virtually hard to overhaul — not matter how much effort is put into trying to change a culture. The DNA of a company permeates its thinking, its business processes and most importantly its revenue models.
I find it hard to believe that companies can’t change, but the ethos of companies is extremely difficult to remove.
I know from experience, trying to sort out failing businesses is almost impossible without a sea change – but not completely. However shifting revenue model for companies like Facebook is pointless, because it’s STILL working. Although some distrust has bled into the mainstream media, it’s not as prevalent as you might think.
